Kathryn Tremblay is a visionary Canadian entrepreneur and business leader boasting over three decades of expertise, particularly in the human aspect of human resources. As the CEO and co-founder of Altis Recruitment and Altis Technology, she has transformed her organization into one of Canada's largest privately held recruitment and staffing firms. Born and raised in Ottawa, Kathryn embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 1989 alongside her late husband, Toni Guimaraes, establishing a small staffing firm. Through organic growth, they expanded the company across the GTA and Vancouver, venturing into new niche industries and sectors. Today, Altis Recruitment operates in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver, with over 200 team members and a remote-by-choice workforce. The organization annually places more than 8,500 talented candidates in meaningful roles.
Kathryn's leadership extends to being a significant staffing supplier to the federal government and across various public and private sectors. Her organization specializes in IT, specialized professional roles in finance, accounting, construction, HR, communications, and procurement, along with administrative and customer service placements.
Recognized as the 2021 CEO of the Year by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade, Kathryn has consistently achieved recognition as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies (Platinum Club Member) by Deloitte since 2006. Additionally, she holds Women Business Enterprise certification from WBE Canada.

Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995 and holds certifications, including Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) from the Association of Canadian Search, Employment, and Staffing Services (ACSESS).
